New Ipod

I finally bought an Ipod yesterday!

It holds 15000 songs - I think I might be able to make a significant dent (more than half) in that.

Now all I have to do is load all my songs on there!

Well, today has been the day for birthdays of one sort or another!

It is my stepdad's 64th birthday, so Happy Birthday you old fart! *evil grin*

Also my friend had her baby boy, who arrived a week early, this morning at 3.34am after a 24 hour labour. He weighs in at 6 pound 11.5 ounces.

And congratulations to Vivian who became a grandmother today too! Autumn was born 2.37am (American EST) after a very short labour (less than 2 hours). She weighs in at 7 pounds 12 ounces.

Movie Review: Proof

I won tickets to the preview of this at the Windsor theatre for Monday night. I ended up going by myself because nobody was free at short notice. Parking was not the best - I had to park 10minutes away on a poorly lit side street. I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially Jake Gyllenhaal! ;) Gwyneth Paltrow was amazing in this role.

Plot: The daughter of a brilliant but mentally disturbed mathematician, recently deceased, tries to come to grips with her possible inheritance: his insanity. Complicating matters are one of her father's ex-students who wants to search through his papers and her estranged sister who shows up to help settle his affairs.

A Good Idea

I was reading some random blogs and this one took my fancy.

For every one you sell, would that make you a year younger?

Shopping Bargain

I went shopping on Saturday because I was supposed to be looking for new shoes for work. I ended up with a great bargain, but no shoes.

I managed to buy 9, yes 9 tops, that normally retail for $20+ each, for the grand total of $50.00! Gotta love those clearance sales! * happy claps * Still have to buy new shoes though. :(

This is always a dilemma for me because I can't wear closed in backs nor closed in toes, or anything with a heel because I just can't walk in them without twisting my ankle - which I have done numerous times, on both ankles both ways, so at anytime (which happens every now and then) they may give out.

Many years ago I found THE perfect shoe for me, so I bought several pairs. Unfortunately they have all gone to shoe heaven and are no longer made because they aren't "in".

But for now I will keep looking and keep my fingers crossed that the repairs I did to my old pair hold up a little while longer.
