Movie Review: My Life In Ruins

Enjoyed a lovely night out with an ex-work colleague tonight.

We started out with dinner at Sizzler's then went back to the place she is housesitting at the moment.

We just spent the time chatting about her travels abroad - she has some funny stories!! We were laughing so hard that I almost wet myself!

Plot: Georgia has lost her kefi (Greek for “mojo”). Discouraged by her lack of direction in life, she works as a travel guide, leading a rag-tag group of tourists as she tries to show them the beauty of her native Greece. While opening their eyes to an exotic foreign land, she too begins to see things in new ways—finding her kefi in the process.

Movie Review: Ice Age - The Dawn Of The Dinosaurs

I headed out to the movies today - to avoid being in the same house as my step-dad (we're not getting along at all & very rarely speak to each other) - and decided to see this.

It was okay, not as good as the first, but when really, are sequels better? I can only think of a few... the Bourne Identity Trilogy being one of the them.

Plot: Scrat is still on the hunt to hold onto his beloved acorn, while finding a possible romance in a female sabre-toothed squirrel named Scratte. Manny and Ellie, having since become an item, are expecting a baby, which leaves Manny anxious to ensure that everything is perfect for when his baby arrives. Diego is fed up with being treated like a house-cat and ponders the notion that he is becoming too laid-back. Sid begins to wish for a family of his own, and so steals some dinosaur eggs which leads to Sid ending up in a strange underground world where his herd must rescue him, while dodging dinosaurs and facing danger left and right, and meeting up with a one-eyed weasel known as Buck who hunts dinosaurs intently.

Movie Review: Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince

It feels like I have been waiting for this movie for ages! I had organised 2 days of work when it was supposed to come out in December, but then it got pushed back to this year. Luckily I already had organised to have the entire month of July off work, so that means I can see it again and again and again!!
I was slightly disappointed that they didn't keep the ending true to the book, nor that the Dursley's, Dobby or Kreacher were in it :( (I will not say anymore so as not to spoil it for those who have yet to see it)
Plot: Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent on preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort's defences and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information.

Meanwhile the students are under attack from a very different adversary as teenage hormones rampage across the ramparts. Harry finds himself more and more drawn to Ginny, but so is Dean Thomas,. And Lavendar Brown has decided that Ron is the one for her, only she hadn't counted on Romilda Vane's chocolates. And then there's Hermione simmering with jealousy but she's determined not to show her feelings. As romance blossoms, one student remains aloof. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one. Love is in the air but tragedy is ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again.

Movie Review: Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen

I have been hanging out to see this. In preparation I watched the first one again this weekend.

It was awesome!!! There are quite a few funny scenes - I love "Wheelie" - he is so cute, and the 'twins'.

Plot: The battle for Earth has ended but the battle for the universe has just begun. After returning to Cybertron, Starscream assumes command of the Decepticons, and has decided to return to Earth with force. The Autobots, believing that peace was possible, find out that Megatron’s dead body has been stolen from the US Military by Skorpinox and revive him using his own spark. Now Megatron is back seeking revenge and with Starscream and more Decepticon reinforcements of their own, may have more to deal with then meets the eye.
